well....

The intro wasn't very well thought out. See, if you study Beethoven you'll realize that Beethoven loves introductions to his pieces. However, moonlight sonata does not have one and that is unique for Beethoven. So adding one I thought was a bad idea.
When you got to the real music part, it was way to slow, and the chords weren't exactly right.
Using the material you did for the ending really killed it, made it to strident and choppy when it should be dark and fading away.
Keep trying tho.

I under stand...I noticed that jist in it to. but I've only got FL studios trial. So when i start I have to finish it in that one session. But I changed it to make it more different.
I should of called it moonlinght edit or somthing. but hey whatcha gonna do
thanks for the help full review

O yea.

This is definetly my favorite song from you.
I loved the combination of instruments. Could have used alittle more bass, but just alittle.
Great job!

BlazingDragon responds:

Thanks, it's good to know that this one turned out. This was one of my first real compositions, and apparently it is one of the better. (Beginner's luck? lol) It was my first time really going outside of piano music, so I was a little worried about it.

As always, thanks for the review! :D

Again, very nice.

I will say, the quality was alittle muffled, but that doesn't effect the score I gave you cause some of my piano recordings are like that too!
Anyway, great song. You should try making some fast boss music or something.

BlazingDragon responds:

Thank you so much for the review, it is more appreciated than I can express in writing! :)

I have wrote this using Finale and at the time I didn't know how to control the reverb, so it did come out a muffled. I would fix it, but I lost the project file a while ago. :(

I'd like to try some boss music some time, but I might wait until I have the money to buy a good sound library as opposed to soundfonts. (My computer is too slow to really run Finale, so I could use a better computer too. >.<)

Thanks again for the review, I really appreciate it!

Very nice.

This is a very nice piece.. flowing melody and the seemless chord progressions, sounds very professional and emotional. I would have liked to hear alittle bit more of the strings, but other than that its all great. NIce work.

BlazingDragon responds:

Thanks again for the reviewage! :P I plan on going back and bringing out the strings more and even giving them some melody lines, but I think I might wait to post it till I can buy some better software and a good sound library.

Thanks again!

Pretty good.

Pretty scary... I would have liked to here an organ or ocarina or something start playing tho!

TheAmateurAnimator responds:

That's a good idea.

well....

It, like alot of your other stuff I heard, was alittle repetitive. Usually I don't mind repitition,
its just that this didn't have any variation at all really... just a few added instrument after a while.
Also, it reminded me of some music from Spiderman. Its a similiar chord progression. I suggest making more of a melody... and perhaps a key change?
Anyway this was pretty cool.

TheAmateurAnimator responds:

This was done for the MRAC, and every note was from the tune that was supposed to be remixed. I wasn't responsible for the chord progression or melody, just instruments, when the instruments play, and the percussion. You're right, though, I could have used key transpositions, and it is rather repetitive.
Thanks for the review, it is appreciated.

wow

That was awesome. You used the dissonances in such a way.. It really expresses the PC bullcrap that the Christmas season has become. Nice Work!

Rythim-Man responds:

The point was to make depict the harmony of the many christmas themes...notice that there is none?

nice effect

I like the echoey stuff. Like a pirate in a cave or something. I found myself wishing a bass would come sometime though... Otherwise still a great tune.

Rythim-Man responds:

I was tempted to put in a bass but it would have changed the mood of the song. I wanted to put in piccolo but it wouldn't have sounded as nice. Ocarina is good as a solo instrument. If i put in something else...well it wouldn't have been Ocarina Spell anymore.

pretty cool man

Ya know, one of my favorite things to here is a nice ocarina melody. Or recorder or piccolo or some high flutey thing that reminds you of pirates or leppercauhns or something... Anyway..
This was a nice diverse melody. You should harmonize it!

Rythim-Man responds:

What's pretty cool is your recording. I'm going to make something like that, but not put it on NG. It'll be on my own page.

lol

Made me laugh. Nothing else to say really. lol.

seven-flower responds:

Good. The whole point of it was to be funny. I'm trying to make an animation for it but I don't really know how to use flash. But sooner or later I'll figure it out. Any-hoo, thanks for the review.
