Very cool.

I like the synth, and the glissandos. What did you use to make this?

Sentinel responds:

It's just a cut drumloop, a preset from one of my synths, where I'm only allowed to have one note at the time, resulting in the glissandos.
This in addition to two bass samples with slap and picked bass.
Sequenced in FLStudio 8 - like all my music :)

Thanks for the review!

hahah Pachelbel's Canon!

Oh the countless times I've played this so many times at weddings/gigs.Hey, don't take the scores to harshly. Its just the way you organized this mix didn't really work. It starts out with arpeggios, outlining the chords, then it goes into a big unison, then a solo, it doesn't make sense really. Oh, and the tempo was way to fast. So, consider those things. Keep it up.

DeathSpirit responds:

Yeah... as I said I could of done better. Well i made this when
I was getting use to making music.

it is a bit repetitive....

...but thats ok. It was nice you changed it up each time. I'm not exactly sure this is classical... but anyway. Try adding a key change or something next time. It would get it some elevation. Pretty nice otherwise.

WritersBlock responds:

Cheers for reviewing.
Yeah a key change would have been good.
I might try that if I remake it.

very nice.

This was certainly a beautiful piece. The left hand provided great harmonies, and the right hand, seemless runs that added to the sorrowfulness of the mood.
I gave a 7 on clarity, cause sometimes the piano would sound to muddy, especially in the base. If you were playing it this way in real life, I would say 'less pedal.' Use alittle less pedal and the I think you'll find the bass notes will be able to breath much better.
I like the ending in major. The beginnings key was just a tab ambiguous, sense we didn't get the minor third for a while, then right to the 4 chord, (which is common to E-flat ;) so the ending was very nice.
This is a really good piece, keep it up.

Fuoco responds:

:D
I haven't touched a real piano actually, only my old keyboard (sadly, it sounds more like a trumpet than a piano lol). I can't play piano, this is computer generated. But I will take your advice about "less pedal", I left the pedal mark since the very begining and never bothered me, but you musicians got a very refined ear so next time I will release the pedal more often ;)

"...sense we didn't get the minor third for a while, then right to the 4 chord..."

Sounds like something good...
Despite the fact I can't understand what you're saying right now, I really like this kind of reviews because it makes me search around until I find what it means. That way, I'll understand what other people say too, and maybe I'll be capable of reviewing like you :D

Thanks for reviewing man! I seriously appreciatte it!

Fuoco

I like it.

I like the instruments you used. The strings entrance was great. I've never heard the original so I can't compare to much. It's wierd, a guy that likes video game music as much as me doesn't really like the FF music. Anyway, nice job!

Cosmos8942 responds:

Again with my experimentation stage...still working on it though. Great job with your own pieces by the way.

haha!

Hey man, this is great! I love the beat, the melody, the echoes, all of it. Its like, Mario 3 meets Plok. Great video game piece!

Cosmos8942 responds:

O_O I really don't know what to say to this =.=. Heh but thanks anyways.

pretty nice and soothing.

I can definetly picture rain, cause it is raining outside my house right now. heh.
Anyway, I like the way this piece flows. I would have liked to here alittle more of the celesta, and perhaps alittle more notes in the left hand of the piano would have given the song more of a moving feeling. Overall nice job!

Cosmos8942 responds:

Hmm...yeah...I see why you say that, one of these days I will go back and 'tune' the song up a little. Thanks for the review though, I appreciate it.

hahaha!

Still making remixes of this! Well geez all of them are just great and this one is no exception. I say keep making them!
Check out my latest for old times sake ;)

Bezo responds:

I can't help it. I saw I had 99 songs on NG so I thought:

What better song to put up for my 100th song that my ultimate remix of my very first NG song?

nice.

I love the sounds of Ryu doin his moves and the rest of the sounds from the game. I've wanted to put those in a song of mine but I really don't know how.
The synths you used for the song were mystical, and with the sounds from the game make an extremely nostalgic atmposhpere. I think I have to go play that game now. Great work!

ShadowMan-Kage responds:

Hmmm... I checked out your Ryu's theme. It was very well done. Im surprised that it is still at the top of the boards. Then again this is a new style of music that I am using.

When I first made this song with the instruments I thought something was missing. So by adding Ryu's fighting effects and game sfx made it, like the song said, "Perfect!" Thanks for the review afliXion! Much appreciated!

see below.

Kind of sounded like an old nintendo song.
AFter a while the instruments got old, and started to sound to science fictionish for my tastes.
Maybe you should try devoting a little more time to your music than just 30 minutes?

studio-nightbird responds:

I would love to...thing is...I only have the demo and it closes after 30 minutes. (storm studios). so I just stuck with FL Studios, but thats also a demo :(
